The Maldives is a country of islands located in the Indian Ocean that spans across the Equator. The nation is made up of 1192 islands spread across 871 km. Although the country is around 90,000 square kilometres, just 298 sq km are inhabited. The islands are divided into an encircling chain comprised of 26 atolls.

With an average temperature of about 28 degrees Celsius, surfing conditions are excellent all through the season of surfing, which runs between mid-February and November. However, you will have the best conditions between April to May and September until the end of November.

  • The Kaashidhoo island is home to one of the most significant archaeological sites in the nation, which reveals the Buddhist time of the Maldives before the arrival of Islam during the 12th century.
  •  Isdhoo Old Mosque is a historic site with a lot of significance.
